- Origin
- According to Wikipedia, the original notation is 「滷肉飯」, referring to pork braised in sweet soy sauce over rice. The notation 「魯肉飯」 became common in Japan's Chinatowns using a character with the same pronunciation. This usage was later exported back to Taiwan, where it is often used in night markets to attract Japanese tourists.
